Regional Exploration and Production

(DPFZ - Destor-Porcupine Fault Zone) the Destor-Porcupine Fault system is the principal regional lineament associated with numerous gold deposits in the Timmins camp.

Hollinger Mine operated from 1910 until 1968. During that period 65,778,234 tons were milled, producing 19,327,691 ounces of gold, indicating an overall grade of 0.29. McIntyre mine operated from 1912 to 1988 there were 37,529,691 tons milled, producing 10,745,361 ounces of gold, an overall grade of 0.29 ounces per ton.

Localized Geology

Property Geology

The North and South claims of the Denton Property are underlain by Felsic to intermediate intrusive suites (Granodioritic body). The central portion of the property is lies at the limb of the Porcupine Syncline and is also dominated by Granodioritic bodies; however, it is intruded to the east by intermediate-mafic rocks/ intrusives as well as felsic-intermediate metavolcanic rocks/ intrusives. All portions of the Denton property are cut by younger North-South trending diabase dykes.
 
 

Historical Highlights

The Denton property lies within the Porcupine Gold Camp, which has a cumulative historical gold production in excess of 68 million ounces and even today continues to grow as new mines come on stream.
