Palomar Lake
Overview (including Palomar Lake Ext.)

Other Local ExplorationThe former Joburke Gold Mine is situated 1km north of the Timmins West Project. It produced 440,117 tons at 0.10 oz Au/ton. The properties are situated near established mining infrastructure in the Timmins camp, known for its world class gold and base metal mines and deposits.12km Southwest Rio Tinto's Luzenac talc mine is situated contiguous and directly north of the Golden Chalice Timmins West project. The Palomar Lake and Palomar Lake Extension properties are prospective land positions in central Keith Township that envelops the north and west continuation of prospective stratigraphy surrounding Amador Gold's land position.
Property GeologyThe Palomar Lake and Palomar Lake Extension project s have similar geology and structure to the Timmins Gold Camp that has produced over 68 million ounces of gold. Major gold producing areas (Timmins, Kirkland Lake, Kerr Addison, Harker-Holloway) in the Abitibi Greenstone belt of NE Ontario occur on or near E-W striking regional deformation zones. The Porcupine-Destor Fault a major controlling factor of the gold mineralization in the Timmins Camp cuts through the Timmins West Project. The property lies in the northern part of the Achean Swayze Greenstone Belt. The Swayze belt has similar texture and composition to the volcanics in the Timmins mining camp and it is proposed many that faulting structures in the area are the western extension of the Destor-Porcupine fault. Generally the Palomar Lake property is underlain by mafic-intermediate metavolcanics, which have been intruded by a band of felsic flows and a large porphyry suite near the north boundary of the claims, which are also cut by later diabase dykes in the north central region. Intrusive sheets and pods of ultramafic/ mafic rocks along with chemical sediments are noted in the central part of the property in close proximity to a few somewhat discontinuous Iron formations.
Historical HighlightsWhole rock analysis shows that the property is underlain by tholeiitic Basalts of the Tisdale Group, which hosts the Gold mineralization in the Timmins camp. Noted occurrence of carbonation in the felsic/ intermediate rocks/ intrusions is also significant, since this form of hydrothermal alteration is typical of Archean gold deposits. Wejak mines drill logs show favorable alteration horizon containing traces of gold over 30m. Unfortunately the exact location of the drill holes is unknown. Diamond drilling by Wejak mines shows favorable alteration horizon containing traces of gold over 30m. Unfortunately the exact location of the drill holes is unknown.
